Have you seen the news about another MiniMonos Eco Hero image being revealed? A Guardian was revealed earlier this week by our bloggers, and we're giving away a REAL Guardian T-Shirt!
In celebration of World Water Day and Earth Hour (March 22 and March 23), one very lucky monkey will win this EPIC MiniMonos Guardian T-shirt from the NEW MINIMONOS SHOP!

Here's how to go in the draw to win this very RARE MiniMonos T-Shirt (and maybe earn yourself a new Top Cap OR TWO)!

1.  Complete an eco-project that saves water, cleans up water ways, or one that saves power!  Learn more about Eco Projects here!

2.  Submit your completed eco-project to the Eco Dome on MiniMonos!  Be sure to submit REAL before and after pictures- they cannot be pictures you find on the internet.

3.  Email us at contests@minimonos.com with your monkeyname and tell us that you've sent in a special eco-project for World Water Day or Earth Hour!

Not sure what eco-project to do?  Here are some ideas: 

• organizing a family or neighborhood street clean up, to make sure rubbish doesn't get washed down the drains and end up in the rivers and oceans near you! 

• finding ways in your home or school to help cut down on the amount of water you're using

• getting your family, class, or school to save power!

Interview Time! Viper.. Aka Barbie!

So.. for while wanted to interview one of Minimonos staff members and finally got chance to! hehe.. Here's Vipers interview :)


You play on a lot of virtual worlds, which game did you play first?
My best friends introduced me to Club Penguin, which then became my first vw to play

If its not too personal, how old were you when you first starting playing VW's?

Lol this one I'm not completely sure on the exact age but it was like 14-15 or something along that line. xD

Were you ever, heaven forbid!, a penguin like most of us? Do you still ever play?
It was really great, lol I remember how excited I was as a player but to become an ambassador was just amazing! ^^ I really appreciate it too because I would have quit MiniMonos & gaming, so I can focus on getting a job to help my family and all. No words can describe how thankful I was to get a job on MiniMonos plus everyone was so welcoming & helpful. MiniMonos really is like an online family. :)

What does your work for Minimonos involve? What parts do you like the most / least?
My main work is to moderate and make sure no one is breaking the rules. I like knowing I can help in keeping the game as safe as possible for everyone and seeing monkeys having a blast in-world. ^^ And plus going in game to play and chat with you guys too whenever I get the chance! :D For least, lol I'm not sure about this. :3 But I guess sometimes I can find pretty shocking things that some players would say and do at such a young age nowadays.

The team are really spread all over the world! Are you all really good friends and how do you keep in touch? 
Skype & email is really helpful and even iMessage too! ^^

Finally, any sneaky hints on any upcoming EPIC events on Minimonos?
Better wait till then, nothing else for me to say, hehehe. x]

One more thing.. do you like pink! ;)

 LOL! Funny question, ppsht no :3 Always dislike pink since I was a child. xD

World Book Day Interview #2: Liz Pichon!

Our friends at Minimonos have done it again, with another author interview and EPIC book prize competition! This time it is Liz Pichon, author of the brilliant Tom Gates series of books.

Our World Book Day celebrations continue another bananamazing author interview! This one is with Liz Pichon, author of The Brilliant World of Tom Gates & other hilarious Tom Gates books!

If YOU want to be in to win 5 of her Tom Gates books, including her special World Book Day book: Best World Book Day Ever (so far), pay close attention to her answers!
Here's what we asked her:

Did you always know you wanted to become an author when you were younger?
Not at all. I had no idea that you could do this sort of thing for a living.  I worked as an illustrator and I got asked to illustrate other people’s books.  So I decided to have a go at writing my own stories and trying to make them funny.

What authors inspired you to become a writer yourself?
I loved Roald Dahl. And I love Quentin Blakes illustrations too.

Do you prefer writing using pen & paper, or do you like using a computer?
I do both. I handwrite everything first, then transfer it to the computer.

What were some of your favourite books when you were growing up?
A big favourite was Roald Dahl's The Twits. I had a POP UP Chitty Chitty Bang Bang that I loved.

Do you have any tips for kids who would like to become authors when they grow up?
Well, the first thing is — write about something you're really interested in. Think about how you're going to start your story, what happens in the middle and how you're going to end it. Then the main thing is KEEP WRITING until you get to the end.  I like to read my stories out loud, as it helps me to spot any bits that aren't working very well.  Lastly, read as much as you can and don't give up!
