Minimonos Tribute Page #3: Pirates!

Pink, Pies, now Pirates!
First, it has to be said, Pirates Rule! :D LOL!

Arrr! In little groups around ye island, pirates can always be found!

Grrr....we was ne'er given a chance to take our revenge. And them pesky sneeky ninjas always won. Arrr, but it seemed we couldn't lose at times!

We had such a fine crew too! The best pirating monkeys that have e'er sailed the seven seas!

We at least did a'ways finish arrrrrr base!

And there be always an EPIC party, when we congratulated arrrr sneeky foes.

Ye rivalry was intense! Them ninjas conjured up dragons to toast us! While we summoned the power of the Krakon and gave them a proper inking!

Arrr! And what a Captain we had! He was Piratetastic! :D



Thanks Minimonos! PvN was always a blast! Grrr....but never a winners badge for this pirate!

Minimonos Tribute Page #2: Pies!

Pies!
Lots of Pies! Xpower Pies, Pie Monsters, Pie Rain, Pi (3.14!) Day!
Pies have been a massive part of the fun on Minimonos. Today we salute Pie Times!

Pie Xpowers have been such a blast, and even uncontrollable at times :D I think it was BT that declared on several occasions "Let it rain pie"....and it did! XD

Pies were even the subject of conversation! Manx once stating that pies were a serious business!

And then, of course, Pie Time! What a great game :D

BT really has to be the Pie Master, but other ambassadors were game on!

The Pie Monsters started roaming the island, and Pies starting escaping!

There was only one thing to do! Double the Pie Monsters.....

Or even....The Mega Pie!

Pies have been hilarious and awesome! I don't think I will ever say Pie without thinking about Minimonos. Who did put the lime in the coconut?!
And BT, thanks for so many laughs at crystal cave!

Minimonos Tribute Page #1: The Colour Pink!

In the spirit of remembering all of the fun we've had, we're going to try and run a number of tribute pages to our friends at Minimonos.

Today's tribute is to all things Pink!

Over the past many months, Pink has somehow become a bit of a cult colour to a few of us :D
Here are some of our finest Pink moments!

Now Memories On The Way!

Rather than being sad, which obviously we all are, at the coming closure of Minimonos, we want to focus on the great time we are still having, and have had, on the island with great friends and great people!

So, hopefully, over the next two weeks, we will be posting a few pics to make you smile!

But first, while BT was in full song last night, he pretty much hit the nail on the head!

BT has been amazing! He given so much time and effort, and we salute you Sir! For all of the great parties, we thank you!

MiniMonos Says Farewell

Very very sad to hear this. We have all had such fun, made good friends and so enjoyed partying with all of the staff, who have really made Minimonos the best VW out there.

Hey there Monkeys,

It is with great sadness that I must announce the closure of the online virtual world MiniMonos.com, as of Sunday, May 12th 2013.  MiniMonos has been a huge joy and massive amounts of work by many people.  We can no longer keep the world going, and develop the apps that we are so excited about at the same time.
Everyday for the last four years we have been delighted, moved, and inspired by the community of kids who are part of MiniMonos.  Our team has worked so hard to make the world what it is because we are excited by what kids can do to make the world a better place. 
Almost 1500 of you have had eco- projects approved.  Hundreds of awesome monkeys have commented on our blog, written guest posts, created your own fan blogs, and contributed art and fun into our world.  You have helped us to adopt orangutans through Orangutan Outreach, made donations to Born Free Foundation's Lion project, WWF’s Tiger Initiative and given clean water to other kids in India.  You monkeys are amazing people!
Thank you awesome monkeys for the love you have shown us, and each other.  You are the most inspiring group of people I have ever had the joy of knowing and monkeying around with.

Like us, many of you will be sad, disappointed, and maybe even angry at this news.  Those are normal and OK feelings to have.  We have been feeling the same way!  I hope you use these last few weeks of MiniMonos to hang out with your friends, complete the levels and make some last memories of the world.  Get together with your friends and party on… Bananatastic will be hosting parties right until the last day!

We hope you will take pictures and post your memories to our blog, and tweet us too!  If you send us some of your favourite pictures, we will post them online.  I still have some wonderful screenshots (remember the first 50 monkeys? The first x-powers?), and I would love to be able to collect yours too.  Please send your screenshots and pictures to us at mutt@minimonos.com

We will be planning some big events coming up to the last weekend and will keep you posted on what those are!  We will be having a HUGE party on the 12th, keep an eye out for details.  We are hoping that a lot of the staff will be around that day to party up and say goodbye.

We are really sad to say goodbye to the virtual world, but super excited about what a difference you will make in the real world.
